A screening of Spike Lee's 1992 biopic "Malcolm X" followed Rabig's brief lecture. - PAST PROGRAM -

Thursday, 21 February 2008

Perhaps DU Rochester's most successful program to date took past during the spring semester of 2008. The fraternity, along with the Campus Activities Board, invited television celebrity and scientist Bill Nye the Science Guy to present a lecture to the university community. The TV star spoke on global warming issues, shared personal stories and humorously entertained the audience. The event sold out Strong Auditorium, a venue that can seat 1400 students. The sold out show overflowed to Lower Strong Auditorium, where a simulcast was displayed. The Campus Times applauded the great success of the program, acknowledging Nye's "great job of expressing his concerns about our global situation."
